Dream Catcher gala at Casino Rama Oct. 17

Staff, faculty and community partners are invited to take part in the 2008 Dream Catcher Fire and Ice Gala, to be held at Casino Rama on Oct. 17.

The event will be hosted by Kevin Frankish of City TVs Breakfast Television. Attendees will be treated to a variety of culinary delights and quality entertainment by Lunch at Allen’s, a musical group featuring Murray McLauchlan, Cindy Church, Ian Thomas and Mark Jordan.The inaugural Dream Catcher gala, held in 2006, raised about $140,000 for student awards and scholarships. Those dollars have benefited hundreds of students by helping them pay for the cost of their schooling.

The Dream Catcher volunteer committee is working hard to ensure the event will sell out again. The cost of a table is $5,000. This includes seating for 10 at the gala (reception, dinner and auction), a named student scholarship, a student guide throughout the night and a tax receipt for $3,000. Individual tickets can be purchased for $500.

A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available. If you, or someone you know, is interested in sponsoring a portion of the event, or can offer an item for the auction, please contact Rebbeca Truax at (705) 728-1968, ext. 5446.

This event presents a great opportunity for businesses to elevate their profile with approximately 400 attendees and highlight their support of Georgian.
